BASIC ASPHALT INFORMATION:

Asphalt shingle roofing is what the majority of residential roofs are made from now a days. When you see other homes in the USA you will see asphalts shingles on at least 90% of them. They are both cost effective and provide a strong ability to shed water from your roof. Some other roofing materials you might spend up to five times the amount of money. Some may last longer than asphalt shingles but not many people have $50,000 to spend on a new roof. Asphalt shingles are both durable and cost efficient.

When applying asphalt shingles to your house make sure to have a licensed inspector or licensed contractor take a look at your roof.  They are the ones that will be able to tell you if your home is in danger from any water leakage due to damaged shingles. Also, when picking out your asphalt shingles make sure to check on the brand and quality of the shingle.

Take your time, do some research, and compare prices before you finalize your home remodeling project.  There are many roofing companies that have experience and would be more than willing to give you an estimate on your home. A good roofing company is important so take your time and make sure you feel comfortable with who’s on your roof.
