While you may think the roof is one of those things that once installed you can forget about, reality shows us that it too, needs our attention from time to time, depending on a variety factors.

Stinson Services
According to trusted Stinson Services, a roof should be inspected by a licensed professional at least once a year, although it’s best to actually do it twice. This allows you to check for any damage or wear and tear that may have occurred during the winter months or from summer storms.
Weather conditions can affect your roof after a significant weather event like a storm, high winds, or hail. A tree near your house can also bring you trouble. It is recommended that you check your roof after every significant weather event in order to be able to spot any issues before they become a bigger problem.
Last but not least, another very important aspect that you should take into consideration is the age of your roof, and invest in a preventive maintenance program. If your roof is older, it’s recommended to inspect it more frequently. The average lifespan of a roof is between 15 and 25 years, and as it ages, it becomes more susceptible to damage and wear and tear.
