Before You Insulate Your Attic Think About This

Homeowner’s should be aware that 82% of attic spaces have mice. What should you do? First, you should call Stinson Services, 952-933-4510, to give you a thorough inspection of the area. We will use a thermal imaging device to detect where the heat is escaping, and the rodents are getting in. Next, once a contract has been signed, we will run a blower door test on the property to identify where air is leaking. The blower door test will provide a before and after number to show the difference in air leakage once the project is complete. To correct the air leakage, you can choose from 3 attic insulation packages.

Sure Seal

Remove the old insulation, spot seal with spray foam, add ventilation chutes/windwash, and fill up to R50 with insulation.

Perimeter Guard

Remove the old insulation, spot seal with can spray foam and spray foam the entire outer rim, add ventilation chutes/windwash, and fill up to R50 with insulation.

Arctic Armor

Remove the old insulation, add ventilation chutes/wind wash, spray the entire ceiling with spray foam layer and fill up to R50 with insulation.

We will complete the job by running a blower door test to see that the areas have been resolved. Turn in your insulation rebate form to CenterPoint Energy or Xcel Energy for your rebate. Attic insulation rebates range from $300 for CenterPoint Energy to $500 for Xcel Energy.
