Sales Specialist | Edina

The Sales Specialist’s mission is to help the sales team with proposals, tracking costs, understanding the customer specifications, and estimating the final budget for the project. They will also be in charge of creating, maintaining, documenting, and reviewing current and future procedures relating to estimating both insurance based and retail based projects. The Sales Specialist will ensure all estimates follow company procedures and where required, establish procedures and processes. This role will work with the Production and Sales teams to create and update salesbooks, as necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Sales Director in creating, implementing, and updating Sales Team training program and materials.
  • Create and update retail sales books as it relates to Stinson Services product lines.
  • Assist Direct of Operations with current estimating software and process. Help update as necessary.
  • Review quotes and approve for Sales Representatives.
  • Review thoroughness of all Job Files and identify any with deficiencies. Give notice to the Salesperson to make necessary changes and corrections.
  • Assist salespersons in change orders due to supplemental approvals during sales process.
  • Tutor any Salesperson that is unsure of how to complete the required paperwork.
  • Negotiate and manage every Job File to generate an optimum Gross Profit Margin.
  • Work with third party supplementing partner on an as needed basis to ensure projects moving forward.
  • Work with marketing team on sales ads.
  • Recruit new hires and assist in conducting new sales interviews.
  • Involved in onboarding and training new sales representative hires.
  • Assist and train field personnel on many of the technical aspects of assembling the Job File.
  • Attend adjuster meetings on an as needed basis.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Apps, Salesforce, and Xactimate.
  • Firm understanding of roof, siding, and gutter construction including building materials.
  • Firm understanding of the insurance claims process, including filing, negotiating and supplementing a claim for maximum profitability.
  • Minimum of 5 years of full-time experience in Retail Sales – Construction/Project Management with increasing management and supervisory responsibility and experience.
  • Ability to measure a property and/or use aerial imagery.

Commercial Sales Representative | Edina

The Commercial Sales Representative position is a client-facing sales role, focusing solely on Commercial clientele, with a monthly quota and unlimited earning potential for those with the drive to succeed. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Hit monthly, quarterly and yearly quota.
  • Sales presentations to commercial property owners, managers and investors for roof replacements and repairs.
  • Takeoffs + Estimating for commercial roofing projects.
  • Prospect and identify new business commercial roofing opportunities.
  • Documents and updates lead stages, notes, photos etc.. into Salesforce on a daily basis.
  • Return phone calls within 24 hours.
  • Produce quotes within 3 days.
  • Assist production team with field coordination / deliveries when able.

Production Manager | Edina

The Production Manager will be responsible for the production division of the company. They will professionally represent SSI to customers, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors. Production Manager will also make sure projects are progressing through the production process and ensure compliance to Stinson Services company rules, policies, and processes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Management Responsibilities
  • Goal of $9M of Produced work annually.
  • Support the CEO in day-to-day Management of all projects and Production staff.
  • Recruiting, hiring and training of new production employees + subcontractors.
  • Supervises field staff and subcontractors.
  • Ensures OSHA compliance – Develops and executes Stinson safety plan including training personnel.
  • Safety director – Run safety meetings at all TQM meetings.
  • Coaching and mentoring for Foreman and assistants + Subcontractors (annual hiring Q1+Q3, and training Q2+Q4).
  • Owns Post construction / quality control on all projects by scheduling repairs and punch list items.
  • Assist Foreman out in the field when needed.
  • Create + manage forecasts for production season -> includes trade partners, equipment, vendors.
  • Bi-annual reviews, quarterly conversations, on-boarding and off-boarding / terminations.

Processes
  • Create, integrate, update, and maintain Stinson Production business unit flow. Responsible for updating processes as well as SOP’s and How To’s related to the production business unit.

  • Evaluates quality at each production step and maintains a repair queue to less than 10 open repairs at a time.
  • Responsible for Closed Won -> Job Completed Work Order targets being obtained.

Customer Relations
  • Provides lead time estimates for new projects so Sales personnel can properly inform clients.

  • Ensure that routine change orders are estimated, written up and signed by the customer and the sub-contractor. At times, will coordinate with the sales department on pricing and selling of change orders.
Trusted Partnerships
  • Creates & maintains price lists for company (costs, markup w/ target margins) updated bi-annually.
  • Recruits new trade partners on a continuous basis, developing pay sheets and negotiates pricing for TP’s.
  • Ensures subcontractors are compliant and bench is strong for projects we execute.
  • Negotiates with vendors on pricing and getting new price lists.
  • Obtaining estimates from TP’s and vendors.
  • Approves all requests for payments to subcontractors.

Qualifications

  • Extensive residential construction experience ideally in exterior construction – Roofing, Siding, Sheet Metal, Waterproofing
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Apps, Salesforce, Estimating Software, Project Management Software.
  • Working knowledge of commercial and residential construction methods, techniques, systems and building codes. Extensive roofing knowledge is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1-2 years experience in Production Management experience, OR Associates Degree and 2-4 years Production Management experience, OR 5-6 years of Production Management Experience.
  • Hands-on experience in residential /commercial remodeling either as a carpenter, or other tradesperson.

Administrative Coordinator | Edina

The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for managing Stinson Services Human Resources needs, office and accounting operations. Duties include superior customer service when communicating with customers, providing assistance to production and sales, and management of accounts payable and receivable.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Customer Service/Office Responsibilities
  • Perform office and administrative duties to assist CEO.
  • Screen calls, manage calendars and qualify clients to set appointments for Sales Department.
  • Follow Up calls to customers, partners, and insurance companies as needed.
  • Routine data entry into Salesforce (CRM).
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Organize and maintain office files and supplies.

Foreman | Edina

Job Description

The Foreman’s primary function is to provide skilled labor, manage subcontractors and clearly communicate w/ clients and team members, ensuring they complete each project safely, on time and on budget. You will track and report the progress of our client’s project and update notes and statuses within our CRM throughout the project. You will also provide skilled labor on an as needed basis.

  • Conduct pre-construction meetings to review project scope and specifications to document any change orders prior to start of project
  • Conduct post-construction meetings with clients to complete a final walkthrough
  • Ensure project specifications are followed and report change orders
  • Inspect the quality of work performed by subcontractors to ensure it meets industry standards and OSHA compliance
  • Complete material takeoffs, place orders, audit material deliveries and collect returns from job sites
  • Help coordinate city inspections, dumpster pickups, and material pickups on project sites
  • Help maintain accurate financial reporting on all projects by submitting all job receipts in a timely manner
  • Provide carpentry and roofing labor for a variety of exterior building components on an as needed basis, including shingle/siding sample pulls. Some examples include punch list items, repair tickets, and smaller tasks.
  • Perform inspections to identify problems such as leaks or cracks
  • Resolve or report problems when they arise regarding Stinson Services projects
  • Track, report, and update project progress daily through Company Cam and Salesforce CRM
  • Ensure and maintain cleanliness and organization of company storage space, storage containers, and company vehicles

Production Apprentice | Edina

Job Description

We are looking for a Production Assistant/Apprentice to join our team. Your primary function in this job is to help manage our projects by ensuring job sites are clean, safe and stocked with correct materials. You will track and report on their progress to our team and share updates with clients as needed. You will also provide skilled labor on a limited basis to help complete projects.

This is an hourly part-time position with the ability to work over-time during peak season.
This is a seasonal position April thru August/September.

  • Assisting in jobsite cleanup, management, and labor as necessary
  • Ensure enough materials are onsite throughout project (materials delivery and returns)
  • Help in job costing by providing receipts towards projects
  • Communicate with Project Manager/Foreman with jobsite updates: Report time onsite and details performed on jobsite. /li>
  • Use Company Cam to document material returns and delivery; also to add to job progress
  • Help with prep work for projects that includes painting, staining, sanding, cutting, etc.
  • Ensure warehouse & storage areas are safely organized and cleaned up at the end of each day
  • Ensure vehicles are cleaned on interior and exterior; gas up vehicles at the end of the day; aid in oil changes.
  • Delivering material samples to job sites
  • Help deliver and set up safety equipment for jobsites.
  • Moving and transporting ladders and other needed equipment to the jobsite.
  • You’ll learn how to perform general inspections on roofing, siding and gutters.
